When surfing what good restaurants are around my area, this place caught my eye with really good reviews on yelp and some other websites. Moreover, their patriotism triggered my interests even more.
MISSION BBQ opened its doors for business on September 11, 2011.
Ten years after our world changed forever, in some small way we wanted to change it back.
As the founders of MISSION BBQ, we strive every day to remind everyone what makes Our Country great—its heroes.
Who are we? Two friends passionate about BBQ, patriotic for Our Country, and who believe in running a business with meaning and purpose.

Can you believe opening a restaurant can win coins and ribbons even more than a general? The Peking Gourmet Inn, opened in 1978, is famous for its Peking Duck and traditional Chinese food. Since it is located right outside of DC area in Falls Church, VA, it is known for walls of celebrity visitors’ pictures including two of the United States presidents Mr. George H. W. Bush and Mr. George W. Bush. (Guests Gallery) Continue reading [Falls Church, VA] Peking Gourmet Inn 白宮的後院，總統大官們的愛店~ 北京烤鴨
There’s an old saying that a rotten apple spoils the whole barrel which best explains my experience with this restaurant… So disappointed with one dish that I would not want to visit again.

Another really popular restaurant!! Once you registered at the entrance, anticipate around 1.5-2 hours waiting until you get a seat.
However, the food really worth the waiting. Make sure you have enough water. It’s sooo good but soooo hot!! 😉 Continue reading [DC] Hot N Juicy- really HOT!!!
Originated from a small hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in New York City, Shake Shack has been known for its freshly made burgers with lots of lettuce and tomatoes, its street food culture, and, of course, its long waiting line including the one in DC downtown F street.

When browsing the restaurants and reviews in DC, this place caught my eyes. Happy Hour everyday at the bar with Bourbons and pork from any portion of the pig including face bacon. Sounds really tempting!! I have never tried face bacon before and that with drinks seems to be a fun combination.

This is a recently open Hong Kong Michelin one starred dim sum restaurant branch in Taipei city. It is very easy to locate, just right across the Taipei Main Station. It claimed to have freshly made high quality dim sum right at your order with inexpensive prices. It’s so popular that we arrived around 11 am on a weekday but still wait in line for about 50 minutes. However, the restaurant is very thoughtful with heaters and chairs lining up. Also, they constantly offer hot tea and menu for you to look at and order before you get into the store so you won’t be waiting too long after you are seated. Unlike the normal fisherman market, this place is operated by a famous Japanese restaurant group with bright and clean shops and well organized sections and lots of varieties of seafood selections.
Most of people would have the impression of this place must be really expensive. In fact, the price to have a nice meal here is very reasonable and not scary at all. If you like all kinds of seafood dishes no matter sashimi, sushi, grilled seafood, or hot pots, here is the place you want to visit when you are in Taipei.
Make sure you avoid visiting there during the rush hours especially weekends and bring some cash with you since they do not offer credit card services. Enjoy!! Continue reading [Taipei, TW] 上引水產 Addiction Aquatic Development Seafood lover’s gotta-visit-place
This is a nice little BBQ shop near Richmond city, VA while the store has been in business since 1992. Me and Mr. Big were just visiting a while ago. Apparently, they are pretty well-known among the locals. Continue reading [Richmond, VA] Buz and Ned’s real barbecue 肉食者的天堂- 大塊肋排，啃阿!
Beef noodle soup is always one of my favorite food no matter what kind. Vietnamese Pho is one kind that I love and despise at the same time. Love it because a good broth can have a great flavorful blend with basil, lime juice, and beef; also, it’s normally inexpensive but filling. However, I hate it because majority of the broth I tasted is fake or MSG heavy. Therefore, I rarely go out and buy pho unless I found one place that has genuine broth.
Mr. Big is recently obsessed with one of the food shows of Luke Nguyen, a Vietnamese chef who was born in Thailand, grew up in Australia, and traveled throughout Vietnam to demonstrate all kinds of Vietnamese cuisines on the streets or little food stands.
