Three Ingredients Banana Pancake (Do Not Recommend…)

This recipe has been popular for a while and I haven’t really got the gut to try it out since I’m not really a big banana person.

The truth is…. for people who are not absolutely LOVE bananas, don’t even bother to try. 🙂 It does taste ABSOLUTELY like banana. In regards to the texture, I would say it’s more like a “tamagoyaki (Japanese sweet omelette)” than a pancake.

 (Tamagoyaki)

Even Though, in other recipes or videos recommend to add a little baking powder to make the texture more like pancakes, it was still not like pancake at all to me.

Alright, at least I tried and knew that I’m not a fan for now.

The Popular Three Ingredients Banana Pancake Recipe

All you need is 2-3 bananas, 2 eggs, and a 1/2 tsp of aluminum free baking powder.

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, smash all bananas until smoothDSC04283
  2. Mix in eggs and baking powderDSC04284
  3. Fry the batter on a non-stick pan. *HINT: Do not make the pancake too big. It’s very fragile when you try to flip.DSC04287
  4. Flip the pancake when it is bubbling. Cook for another minute or so and then ready to serve!!DSC04288
  5. You could drizzle some syrup with some fresh fruit if you like. However, the banana is sweet enough already and the banana flavor overrides all other flavors. Therefore, I only recommend this recipe to banana lovers… DSC04290

Try it yourself this weekend and let me know what you think?

  1. Oh my god, my thoughts exactly on this much touted recipe for “awesome” pancakes! I tried it but could not stomach it. It has a weird texture and tastes exactly like what it is: a banana omelette! Ugh!
P.S. Thank you for stopping by my blog! My banana pancakes are great though, do give them a try.. 🙂

    1. Yes!! Finally, I have someone feels the same way as I do. After reading all these recommendations for this no flour banana pancake recipes, I started to think maybe it is not as bad as I thought… Nope, still bad idea. 😛 Thanks for stopping by, your pancake recipe looks amazing. 🙂

      1. Hahaha, same here. I was so enthusiastic when I first heard of the recipe because I thought I’d finally hit on a guilt-free pancake recipe, but HUGE disappointment! Some indulgent things can’t be skinnied up too much without compromising the taste I suppose.. Oh well.
