Fresh Basil Salsa and Shrimp Cocktail 雞尾酒鮮蝦佐羅勒莎莎醬

Gotta try something Mexican this week!!!!

Salsa is one of my favorite kinds of Mexican side dish. The refreshing, spicy sauce with chips is the best appetizer.

I made a little change this time to have some peeled shrimp to go with the salsa. It made a great and healthier combination without the chips. Also, it looks really good with all these cutie shrimps lining up on the bowl. 🙂

Servings: 2-3      Total Time: 15 mins       Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 12-15 boiled shrimps cleaned and peeled
  • 1 tomato minced
  • 1/2 onion minced
  • 1/2 cup of minced fresh basil leaves (most recipes use cilantro, but I like the scent of fresh basil instead)
  • 5-6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 jalapeno seeded and chopped
  • 1 thai chili seeded and minced
  • 1/2 green onion minced
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cumin seed powder
  • 1/8 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp lemon pepper

Directions:

Just chop all of the ingredients and well mix them together. Try the taste and slightly adjust it to your taste.

雞尾酒鮮蝦佐羅勒莎莎醬

5/5 是墨西哥國慶日 (Cinco de Mayo!!),整個禮拜到處都會有墨西哥慶祝活動,或是餐廳會有主題促銷~ 尤其是各種Margarita… 讓人這星期也想來點清爽勁辣的墨西哥菜來嚐嚐~ 一起沾沾光慶祝一下囉!!

材料:

  • 12-15 隻鮮蝦,燙熟撥殼備用
  • 1 整顆牛蕃茄剁碎
  • 1/2 顆洋蔥末
  • 1/2 杯 新鮮羅勒葉末 (用香菜也可以,但我比較喜歡羅勒的香味)
  • 5-6 粒大蒜末
  • 1 棵墨西哥辣椒 去籽,切末
  • 1 棵紅辣椒 去籽,切末
  • 1/2 根青蔥末
  • 1/2 顆檸檬汁
  • 1 大匙糖
  • 1/4 小匙鹽
  • 1/8 小匙孜然/ 小茴香粉
  • 1/8 小匙 old bay 調味粉 (內容物有辣椒粉、紅椒粉、鹽、蒜粉等香料)
  • 1/8 小匙 檸檬胡椒鹽

做法:

將所有材料剁碎,加入調味粉拌勻,試一下味道稍微調整,再將撥好的蝦子排排站好就可以上菜囉!!!!

酸酸甜甜辣辣的蘿勒莎莎醬非常的開胃,如果有一些多力多滋玉米脆片來配超開胃的~
